P-POD for SURGEONS

Pediatric surgeons can now treat non surgical plagiocephaly patients with no need to refer patients to an outside clinic.

When parents notice a flat spot on their baby’s head, they will often be referred by their child’s doctor to consult with a pediatric surgeon.

Surgeons can diagnose plagiocephaly and rule out more serious conditions like craniosynostosis. Once that happens, the only thing to do is refer the patient to another specialist for cranial remolding treatment.

In order to get started with helmet therapy families have to wait for an appointment for scans and then wait for the helmet to be fabricated in order to start treatment.

What if there was a better, faster way?

IN-OFFICE TREATMENT

With the P-POD, surgeons can now treat non-surgical cases right in their clinic. The helmet can be fitted in a single office visit.* No scanning, no shipping, no waiting. The complete process happens at the point of care, allowing the baby to begin treatment immediately, speeding healing time.

* Pending insurance requirements

OUR HELMET

The P-POD Helmet is a traditional cranial orthotic device that applies static or gentle pressure to prominent regions of an infant's head in order to improve cranial symmetry and/or shape in infants from 4 to 18 months of age.
